Mt. Ida All Veterans Memorial Dedication

What a great event at the City Park today! The ground breaking for the Veterans Memorial! They say around 300-350 attended, our MIHS Band participated, our Jorgia Herrin sang the National Anthem, we celebrated with Vets who were given quilts and 2 of my closest friends spoke! Russ Carmack has been working tirelessly on the project which is near and dear to his heart and Sheriff Neal Thomas gave a very touching heart felt speech anout his deployments and service ti this country! True Patriots all them, thank you for service and glad to be able to be a small part of helping out! ~ Greg Rae
